Simon Bazley
Simon lives in Brookhouse Drive, Wooburn Green
where he works from home as a software engineer.
Simon has been working in IT locally since
graduating from the University of York, with an
Electronics Engineering degree in 1997.
His experience in running a small business and his
knowledge of IT has made him a useful addition to
the District Council since his election in 2005,
where he has focused on Development Control
(Planning), Planning policy and scrutinising the
Council.
Simon is standing for election to the Parish Council
for the first time and hopes to get more involved
in the local community.
Mike Appleyard
Mike Appleyard has been a local Councillor for
nearly 20 years, playing an active part in
community life in The Wooburns and Bourne End
for nearly 25 years. He has been a School
Governor at Claytons, Meadows and Wye Valley.
He was Chairman of Bourne End Junior Sports Club
and a member of the Bourne End Community
Association and Chairman of Wooburn Parish
Council. He has been involved in many of the
major public projects in the Wooburn area.
Mike has held key posts as Chairman of Social
Services and Chairman of Education at the County
Council and has been a Spokesman on Economic
Development in the District for many years.
