Ed Nash-Steer
Edward is an enthusiastic, energetic and driven individual
with a real passion for delivering solutions to local issues.
Edward graduated from Loughborough University in 2003
with a BEng in Manufacturing Engineering focussing on
product design leading him to have a keen interest in issues
such as the environment (High Heavens Waste Tip) and
planning.
Supported by his interest in commerce, since leaving
university Edward has worked in retail and currently works in
recruitment in Windsor. He is a keen sports fan and enjoys
playing golf and squash.
With a young family he has seen a real impact of initiatives
such as sure start. He believes that initiatives, such as these,
that bring communities together, play a key role in creating
a stronger cohesive community and tackling social issues.

Helen Wilkinson
Helen was elected as a District Councillor for Greater Marlow
last year. Helen’s professional background is an NHS
Manager which she now does on a consultancy basis. She
has also set up The Big Opt Out campaign which is a national
campaign to protect patient confidentiality and to campaign
against the government central database for NHS medical
records. This campaign attracted national press and TV
coverage. Helen is also a member of the London wide
umbrella organisation, which represents voluntary
organisations working in domestic and sexual violence, the
Sexual Violence Awareness Action Network. Helen advises
this committee on health issues. Outside her professional
interests Helen is passionate about animal welfare.
In the last year Helen has helped the residents of Greater
Marlow on numerous issues. Helen has been on the
Imrpovement and Review committee and the Development
Control Committee at Wycombe District Council. She has
been on two Task and Finish Groups, one looking at the
issue of Homelessness and other on Strategic Partnership
working. Helen is also a member of the Shadow
Buckinghamshire Children and Young Peoples Trust Board,
where she represents Wycombe District Council, which looks
at the strategic planning for children and young people’s
services across Buckinghamshire.
